What are the different types of electric vehicles?

Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV)

It combines a combustion engine, usually gasoline, with an electric motor powered by a small battery, with energy, through deceleration and braking, provided back to assist the combustion engine for estimated consumption gains ranging from 20% to 30%.

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV)

It is a HEV variant with more advanced technology, being able to drive only in "electric mode" for 50-60 km, depending on the model. It has both an ICE (internal combustion engines) and a battery-powered electric motor, combining both to deliver maximum power and efficiency to the car. You can plug it into an electrical outlet to charge the battery. When used optimally with daily charging routines and responsible driving behavior, it can represent a first step towards BEV.

Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)

It is a fully electric vehicle, with a larger battery capacity and powered exclusively by electric energy. Although it has very advanced regenerative braking systems that provide an optimised range and recharges the battery while driving and optimize range, to fullyrecharge the battery, it must be connected to a charger. It is the most eco-friendly option with zero emissions during use.
