Our support team takes care of all administration: payment, release, invoicing and the sending of the vehicle documents.

You will automatically receive an invitation by email for each sales list that is published on MotorTrade with the start date and time and the closing date and time.

That way you can easily plan your purchases.

Purchase Order form, Payment and administration fee

Have you purchased a car? Validate the purchase order form in MotorTrade within 2 days. Our bank details and the total amount to be paid are stated on the order form. Arval charges an administration fee of € 123.00 excluding VAT per purchased vehicle.

Important:

Payment must be transferred via bank up to 5 days after validating the purchase order form.
When making the payment, indicate the number plate or number plates of the purchased car (s) as reference. The release will be processed faster.

Depending on your bank, the processing of your payment can take between 2 to 48 hours.


Release of the purchased car(s)

Our finance department confirms receipt of your payment. You do not have to email us a proof of payment unless requested by us.

After the internal confirmation of payment, we will send you the release via email with a PUAT (Pick Up Authorization Ticket) in the attachment.


Collection of the car(s)

The car(s) must be collected within 5 days after the release.

Important:

The PUAT must be fully completed, stamped, signed and handed in at the counter of the pick-up location. A valid proof of identity must also be shown.

Car documents and invoice

De dag van de vrijgave sturen wij u via de koerierdienst Belgium Parcels Service (BPS) de boorddocumenten toe samen met uw factuur. U ontvangt die na 24u.

Belangrijk:

Wees aanwezig voor de levering in ontvangst te nemen en de ontvangstbevestiging te ondertekenen. De documenten worden niet in de brievenbus achtergelaten tenzij u dat via email aan ons bevestigd. Bij afwezigheid zal BPS de levering na 24u opnieuw aanbieden en dit maximaal 2 keer.

Als u de documenten binnen de 48 uur niet ontvangen heeft neem met ons contact.

Indien uw van adres verandert laat het ons zo spoedig mogelijk weten.

CLAIM PROCEDURE

Who can submit a claim?

The buyer of the vehicle on the MotorTrade platform can submit a claim on the purchased vehicle.


How do I submit a claim?

For bodywork and interior damage (visible damage)::

  • Check whether the damage has already been reported on the MotorTrade expert report.
  • Report it to the Arval employee present at the storage location before moving the vehicle. Inform your carrier about this!
  • The Arval employee will take the photo (s) of the damage (s) and send it to Arval.
  • If you have any questions, call the remarketing team on 02 240 01 99.

For technical issues:

  • When picking up the vehicle, report it to the Arval employee or 24 hours after delivery of the vehicle by a carrier and send an email to remarketing.be@arval.be.

 

Collect the following claim documents:

We would like to receive the documents below in PDF or JPEG within 5 days after the notification.

  • Photo of the odometer. The vehicle must not have driven more than 70 km after collection.
  • Specifications or cost estimate prepared by an authorized workshop with the description of the defect.
  • A photocopy of the CMR (if the transport has been carried out by third parties).
  • Please collect all relevant documents (in PDF or JPG format) and send to remarketing.be@arval.be. Always use the number plate as a reference, so that we have all the information to process your complaint.

For documents that do not match: (eg. Registration certificate, EUR standard, CO2 emissions, etc.)

  • Report it at the latest 24 hours after receiving the documents.

How soon will I receive an answer?

Most cases are answered within 5 working days after receipt of the complete file unless more time is needed for external expertise.

Arval reserves the right to appeal to an independent expertise bureau or to test the vehicle itself. No dismantling or repair may be carried out without Arval's agreement.


Claims that cannot be accepted:
  • Claims regarding body damage or technical defects that were stated on MotorTrade.
  • Claims with a total damage amount ≤ € 250.00 excluding VAT.
  • Claims with regard to body damage and interior damage submitted after leaving the storage location.
  • Claims with regard to technical defects of which the vehicle has been driven for more than 70 km.
  • Claims regarding parts that are part of the regular maintenance:
    • Tires, brake pads and brake discs, (glow)spark plugs, filters, etc.
    • Battery, lamps.
    • Flywheel and clutch, shock absorbers, wheel bearings on vehicles with a mileage ≥ 150,000 km.
