Who is buying the vehicle?

Did you tick "yourself" or "a relative or an acquaintance"?

Provide us then with the full contact details of the vehicle purchaser and a scan/photo of the front and back of his or her identity card. This will enable us to carry out the Know Your Customer check*. This check is compulsory for all financial entities of the BNP Paribas Fortis Group.

Did you tick "a company" or "the lessee"?

Please fill in the contact details of the company or lessee and attach a bank statement. This will enable us to carry out the Know Your Customer check*. This check is compulsory for all financial entities of the BNP Paribas Fortis Group.

All we need now is a few details about the company. Please fill them in as completely as possible.

Does your company have activities or operations in or with any of the six sanctioned countries/regions (Cuba, Iran, Syria, Crimea, Sebastopol, North Korea)?
In which country does the main activity of your Belgian company take place? In other words: in which country does your Belgian entity generate the highest turnover?
How many people does the company consist of?

What is the Know Your Customer check?

The “Know Your Customer” or KYC check is a mandatory check that is conducted by every financial institution before a product or service is supplied to a consumer or business. Arval is part of the BNP Parisbas group and is therefore obliged to carry out this check before we can supply the car and invoice for it.

This check is conducted to gain better knowledge of the customer and avoid entering into business with malicious or criminal organisations (e.g. those involved in fraud, money-laundering, terrorism, etc.) In concrete terms, this check means, among other things, that we conduct an identity check and that will check the country where you are liable for tax and where you conduct your activities.
